What InVideo Programming is and How to Use It

InVideo Programming is a great free feature you can get for your YouTube videos that allows you to do 3 things:

  • Feature another video in all of your videos
  • Add a logo / watermark to all of your videos
  • Add a short intro clip to all, or a selection of your videos

This video will quickly take you through how to get set up with InVideo programming and give you a brief overview of the features.

 

So let’s dig a little deeper into these areas.

Featured Video

A featured video is a thumbnail link to a video which comes up in the bottom left off all your videos. This can be

  • a playlist
  • automatically changed to the latest video you upload
  • a specific video of yours
  • a specific video by someone else

Settings

You can have the video thumbnail appear at the end of your videos or at a custom start time.

This can be either 5, 10, or 15 seconds.

WARNING

You can’t use InVideo programming to sell advertising, sponsorships or promotions.

So if you want to link to a fun video that someone else has uploaded that is fine as long as you aren’t getting paid to do that.

 

Branded Subscribe Buttons

These let you have your logo in the top right of your videos. Clicking on this logo will lead the viewer to your channel page where you can persuade them to subscribe to your channel.

The image will be inserted without any added transparency so it is recommended that the image that you upload have some transparency so as not to be too distracting. However, this is not a requirement.

Settings

You can have the logo appear at the beginning or end of your videos or at a custom start time.

This can be either 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 seconds, or the entirety of your video.

 

Intro Clip

An intro clip is a very short video (3 seconds or less) that plays at the beginning of your videos.. Because this video will only be meant as an intro it is best that you set it to private so people don’t stumble across it while browsing your channel.

Settings

The video has to be 3 seconds or under. You can set it to appear on all of your videos or all of your videos past a certain date.
